Shave off the surface of the broccoli stalks with a knife (as if peeling it off), and cut into 5 cm long strips. Mince the garlic.
Put the butter and the garlic in a frying pan, saut until fragrant, then add in the broccoli stalks and continue to saut.
Once the stalks become tender, add the soy sauce, and season with salt and pepper to taste. It's done!
I recommend liberally seasoning the stalks to tone down their bitterness. Adjust the flavor to taste with garlic and soy sauce.
