Step:

  1. In a medium bowl, Whisk together the flour, salt and pepper. Add beaten egg and half of the milk. Whisk everything together with a hand blender or wire whisk. Add a bit more milk and continue stirring until the batter is well mixed and smooth.

  2. Strain and push any remaining lumps through a sieve. Keep batter in the refrigerator for 15 to 30 minutes.

  3. Preheat the oven to 220C.

  4. Put 1tsp oil and a sausage into each muffin cup. Then, put the muffin pan in the oven for a few minutes or until the oil is very hot.

  5. Carefully remove from the oven and quickly fill the cups. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown. Serve with gravy sauce or ketchup.
