Step:

  1. Cook the pasta in plenty of boiling salted water until al dente. Drain thoroughly.

  2. Heat the oven to 180°C.

  3. Coat a shallow baking dish with a little of the sauce. Dress the pasta with about two-thirds of the bechamel and transfer to the prepared dish. Spread the rest of the sauce all over the top. Bake for about 30 minutes, until the pasta at the top begin to brown.

  4. Leave out of the oven for 5 minutes before serving, to allow the flavours to blend while cooling a little.
