  1. Heat a large pan, add butter, heat a little then add the minced onions. Fry until golden brown.

  2. Add the ginger garlic paste, coriander powder, tumeric powder and salt. Fry for about 1 minute.

  3. Add the pureed tomatoes + tomato paste & cook for 3-4 minutes until mixture forms bubbles uniformly.

  4. Throw in the dried fenugreek leaves, milk & chicken. Cook covered until chicken is tender.

  5. Open lid & cook further.

  6. When done, add the chicken masala powder & the cashewnut paste.

  7. Give it a good stir till everythingis properly mixed. But don't boil.

  8. Adjust salt.

  9. Serving suggestion: Vegetable Fried Rice. (Recipe in my profile)


  1. 1 kg chicken
  2. 3 onions minced
  3. 3 tomatoes pureed
  4. 2 tbsp tomato paste
  5. 3 tbsp butter
  6. 1 1/2 tsp garlic paste
  7. 1 1/2 tsp ginger paste
  8. 3 tsp coriander powder
  9. 2 tsp chicken masala powder
  10. 1 large pinch of dried fenugreek leaves
  11. 2 cup milk
  12. 4 tbsp pureed cashewnut paste (soak & grind cashewnuts)
  13. 2 tsp tumeric powder
  14. 1 salt to taste
