3 lb ground beef (I have made this with 2 lbs and it was enough for my family)
1 large onion, chopped
1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
2 celery ribs, chopped
2 can kidney beans, rinsed and drained (16 oz)
1 can tomato puree (29 oz)
1 jar salsa (16 oz)
1 can beef broth (10.5 oz)
1 cup (to 2 cups) water
2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup chili powder
1 tbsp dried basil
2 tsp ground cumin
2 tsp steak sauce (A1 or Heinz 57)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 1/2 tsp browning sauce, optional (I never put this in)
1 Top with additional chopped onion, shredded sharp cheddar cheese, sour cream, and oyster crackers if you'd like!
